In 1970 Cyril Kennerley joined Netlon Ltd, acknowledged world wide as the inventors and pioneers of extrusion processes for the manufacture of integrally extruded plastic nets and meshes, when the company was in its infancy, and retired as International Licensing Director at the end of 1997. By that time Licensed Manufacturing and Trade Mark License Agreements had been established in 34 countries including 6 in various parts of China. In time, over the next 20 years, he went on to form a number of other companies and partnerships associated with the manufacture and supply of plastic mesh products around the world, as well as the provision of dies and die heads and other specialist net manufacturing equipment.
James Kennerley joined his father 15 years ago and since then has become proficient in the supply of plastic mesh technology and equipment, project management and supervising on site installation and commissioning and operator training. Recently the manufacture and assemble of counter rotating die heads, oscillating die heads (NETLON type) as well as die head and drives for the reciprocating process (RICAL type) have been successfully completed for international customers.
The company founder Cyril Kennerley sadly passed away in December 2018 and his sons, James and Matthew Kennerley who recently retired from a 30 year career in ports and shipping, have since joined forces to take MED Ltd forward building on the company’s success to date in supplying high quality precision engineered die heads and dies. The company has also recently developed capabilities to offer other plastic net extrusion machinery, complete production lines and bespoke solutions to its customers.
